Draminski in Poland are a well known manufacturer of electronic farm instruments. Their grain moisture meter is proven around the world. Whole grain is poured into the meter. Grinding is not required. As supplied the meter is programmed for grains: rye, wheat, triticale, barley, oats, buckwheat and maize. Also for legumes; broad bean, yellow lupin, blue lupin, field pea and beans, and rape. The meter provides command prompts for testing procedure, so no memorization of complex procedures is required. A “data modification” mode is incorporated so that the user can make adjustments to the moisture curve to suit local conditions and specific varieties. The meter is powered by a standard 9 volt battery. Supplied in a handy carry-case. The ‘Twist’ grain meter improves the reliability and accuracy of the standard meter. The sample is entered in the container, then the screw cap applied to compress the grain. An audio alert sounds at sufficient compression. This process improves the test procedure to give ±0.5% accuracy for standardised grain. Measurements is achieved in 5 seconds. Also temperature display, and automatic temperature compensation. This machine is very easy to use, with large, clear, back-lit display. The machine is supplied in a sturdy carry bag. Power is by 4 ‘AA’ batteries (supplied).
