Sharing more than a century of hands-on experience, embracing farming, veterinary and eCommerce disciplines, the team understands first-hand the needs and challenges facing producers in regional and remote locations and how to reach this audience through today’s best practice digital channels.

 

Meet FarmShop Australia’s Executive Team

 

Chris Evans, Director

Chris EvansChris Evans grew up on a family cattle property near Julia Creek in North West Queensland and after graduating from University worked for then Australia’s largest beef cattle company, Stanbroke Pastoral Company for 11 years. He was Managing Director of Taylor Byrne Valuers and Agribusiness consultants for 18 years. In 2004 he established Rural Management Company (RMP), a joint venture with the Australian Agricultural Company. Chris was Managing Director of RMP, for 6 years prior to its merger to form the Agricultural Management Company.

Chris is currently a non executive director of the Consolidated Pastoral Company, Australia’s largest privately-owned cattle company, executive director of BDO and is Managing Partner of Bulloo River Pastoral Company, a family owned beef cattle operation.


Rod Stephenson, 
Director

Rod StephensonRod Stephenson, originally from Cunnamulla in SW Queensland, has nearly forty years of experience as a livestock veterinarian in both research and business endeavours. On the academic front he is a senior author of 30+ scientific publications. Specific expertise in artificial reproduction, nutrition, environmental physiology, foodstuff technology, and farming systems has been developed with particular reference to animal production in hot climates. Business activities include live cattle and feedstuffs exports, and consultancies for abattoirs, feedlots and feedlot rations for cattle in Indonesia and PNG.

In addition, he maintains a mobile veterinary practice to horse enthusiasts, hobby farmers and cattle farmers on the western outskirts of Brisbane and Ipswich.


Andrew Stephenson, 
Associate-Director

Andrew StephensonAndrew Stephenson, born in Brisbane before relocating to the Gold Coast, has been involved in a variety of marketing and graphic design capacities. With a background in visual aesthetics and communication, progression into digital design and online marketing has created a number of opportunities in the online technology space.

Creating visual identities and reinforcing branding elements through online marketing avenues and graphic design Andrew has developed his professional experience to encompass work both in-house and for external clients. With a strong emphasis on developing online experiences through enhanced user interface and buying channels – Andrew’s main experience is in content writing and creating engaging online website user experiences.


Hamish Evans, 
Associate-Director

Hamish EvansHamish Evans, grew up in Brisbane with large and frequent exposure to rural industries throughout QLD and NT. Experienced Construction Project Manager with relevant BSA qualifications, BA of Sustainable Property Development (Cons Mgt & QS) and a Dip. of International Business. Commenced career as concrete labourer working on large commercial FRP packages before commencing as a Contract Administrator with QLD’s largest privately owned building contractor. This role evolved into managing the site delivery of large interstate industrial waste processing facility developments for Australia’s largest industrial services company and the delivery of liquor store outlets and high value retail store conversions for Australia’s second largest supermarket and retail property Development Company. Hamish transitioned into a senior role with a prominent Brisbane builder / developer and now works as a Project Manager delivering a portfolio of industrial / commercial and multi unit residential projects in the SEQ market.


Annabelle Evans, 
Associate-Director 

Annabelle Evans spent her formative years in Brisbane. Through her family’s involvement she had frequent exposure to large scale rural industries throughout QLD and NT. After graduating from QUT with a Bachelor of Creative Industries, Annabelle ventured to the UK where she spent time working with two global Digital Media Agencies. Returning to Australia, she gained further experience in the digital space with a leading Sydney based agency before transferring to the company’s head office in New York City. Annabelle has quickly risen through the ranks and is now an Associate Director of Digital and Magazine Activation.
