Ensure humane stunning with our 50-pack of MaxxT Activators for the Blitz Captive Bolt Device. Available in medium (yellow) and very high (red) strengths for efficient livestock processing. Use yellow activators for sheep, goats, fattening pigs, and cattle up to 450 kg. Use red activators for bulls, cows, horses, large boars and sows.

The Yellow captive bolt activator is suitable for:

• Sheep / Goats 40 – 80 kg
• Pigs 60 – 200 kg
• Calves 60 – 200 kg
• Cattle 200 – 450 kg

Always use the correct sized cartridge, if unsure please consult your vet. 

Effective stunning is not just about skull penetration. It requires disrupting the brainstem to cause instant unconsciousness. If the bolt fails to reach or impact enough of the brain mass, the animal may not be fully stunned, even if the skull is penetrated. If too powerful a cartridge is used the captive bolt can become damaged (and may void the warranty).
